ABC123ETC - By far the most cost-effective and easiest way to design, construct and maintain
your own web site. |
Web site information does tend to go out of date very quickly, and surfers find it
very boring if the site that they looked at three months ago still looks the
same. The reasons for continually updating your site are quite diverse. For example, you may have introduced a new product and want to display it on your site, or you may have changed your contact details and wish to let your clients know. If you have a "company news" page, it will need to be updated as soon as new stories are released. One quite common reason for periodically changing your site, is that in the early stages of web authoring, you may wish to improve the layout, or add new pages because of improved development changes within your organisation. (For your information, this site is updated at least 3 times per month.) The process is very easy when it comes to servicing or upgrading your web site ..... 1. Upgrade the information using your web authoring program. 2. Export the relevant pages to your HTML folder. 3. Upload the files to your ISP web server using your FTP program. During the uploading process, the new information will be automatically uploaded to your ISP server. The FTP program will acknowledge and overwrite all existing pages with this new information. As soon as the FTP process is finished, the new information will be instantly visible on the Internet for everyone to see. |
